Our Mission

White Mesa Concerned Community is a grassroots organization of concerned tribal members of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe and we reside on the White Mesa Ute Community in southern Utah. Our Mission is to educate and inform our fellow tribal members and the public and work together to protect our community, health, water, air, land, culture, sacred sites and cultural landscapes from toxic and radioactive contamination from the Energy Fuels “White Mesa” uranium mill located next to our community and on top of sacred and cultural sites. Our ultimate goal is to have the uranium mill closed and cleaned up.
